How do you curl your hair with a straightner?

Firstly, you brush all of the knots out of your hair to reduce frizziness.

Then, you place the straightner a quater of the way down your hair, then wrap it around the straightener.

You wrap it around fully, then pull the rest of you hair through.

You can curl with just about any straightener, but some are better designed for it. Newer GHD stylers have a rounder barrel specifically for this purpose, and the Babyliss pro 230 Straight N Curl (about £25 from Amazon at the moment) is also suitable.

You simply take a section of your hair and place the straightenener about 2 inches from the scalp, as you would if you were straightening. Then, holding the end of the straightener, turn it 180 degrees either up or down. It's good to vary directions on each section to give it a more natural look, just like it's good to use different size section. You can avoid the "fake" look then. Applying gentle but even pressure, glide the straightener smoothly down your hair and release. Wrap the curl around your finger to hold and, once your whole head is done and cool, run your fingers through your curls to loosen them and again avoid the fake look.
