You will know if your hair is over processed by its unhealthy (and often unflattering) appearance. It may appear dry, frizzy, brittle, excessive split ends, dry and/or itchy and/or red scalp, easily breaking during even gentle brushing, or a combination of the above.
BUT if you take excellent care of your hair, deep condition once a week or more and stuff like that, I would say around 10 times if you have strong hair.. I have bleached mine about 11 times and it still looks healthy. BUT I didn't go crazy and bleach it white every time or anything, it gradually went white (I use semi-perm hair dyes so that is good).
They won't stop dubbing bleach until the last episode that they have to do.

You have to bleach your hair before you dye it, because the bleach lightens your hair. You can't put dye on your hair until it's light, and you cannot mix the two together.
I actually had to do that a few times today because I had no wasp spray in the house. I waited until they got low enough and started spraying it with bleach which made it go to a window which I sprayed it a few more times after it landed. It could not fly and seemed like it was dieng so I just smashed it in the end.
