It's going to be the same for the second piercing but on a larger scale, swelling will be worse and you need to be sure you have long barbells for both piercings as both piercings will swell. Does it hurt? Well that's a silly, because it's obvious that with the swelling there will be pain and discomfort.

Any piercing can become infected, navel piercings have a higher chance of infection than most others, because of the vicinity that it is located at since most people neglect to keep the area clean. Being on birth control pills won't change the chance of infection, or make an infection more or less harmful.

Affects of a tongue getting pierced wrong?

I have had my tongue done and had a rather painless piercing procedure and healing however a friend of mine had hers done a year ago and a nerve in her tongue was hit and she had swelling and constant pain in her tongue down and down her neck and was unable to eat or speak for over a week. If you are considering getting your tongue done speak to a few people who already have it done and go to a piercer that they recommend and who sound the most experienced.
