In most states the Botox requires a prescription so a Dr or at least a Nurse Practioner will need to be in the office. However a RN or Md is not required to actually do the administering. Check with the state Department of medical professional regulation for legal requirements in your state. IN most states a Phlebotomist has the requirements to administer the injection.

You can ask a Dr or RN or maybe call the local Nursing school, they MAY know.

What qualifications should someone injecting botox have?

In California, only medical doctors, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and registered nurses can legally administer Botox (MD, PA, RNP, RN). However, when you are considering who to go to, always find out how experienced the doctor or nurse is with Botox injections and how focused the practice is on aesthetic procedures. A family practioner who does Botox to make extra money would not be high on my list of Botox specialists, for example. I also would not go to a medical spa in a mall or other location where a doctor is rarely present. The nurses injecting may be very good, but the physician medical director of an office that does injections should be closely involved with the office, not in another state (as is the case with some chains of medical spas).

Can pharmacists administer botox?

Florida is a political nightmare. RN's inject morphine and chemo drugs. Botox and dermal fillers should be the Rn's duty. LPN inject botox in other states. It can't kill you like chemo can. Doctors are just greedy for the money. They should stick to surgery. Botox and filler injects is cosmetic. It is not medically necessary. Florida needs to get on board and quit changing the laws for convience of the doctor

What can you use on your lips that has the same effect as botox?

BOTOX injections are not used on the lips. If they were, the patients lips would go numb and not work, since BOTOX is a relaxer. This is because BOTOX is used to deliver the appearance of smoother skin by relaxing the facial muscles that create wrinkles. If a patient wanted fuller lips, they would need to inquire with a surgeon who offers Dermal Fillers like Juvederm.

Where can one get a Botox lip injection?

The best place to get botox lip injections all depends on where you live and how much you would like to spend. In Arizona, the best person to go to is the office of Carrie Evans, RN. She is located in Mesa, Arizona.

Does botox make face thinner?

No botox doesn't make your face thinner at all. *Actually I seen a technique like this done where they put the botox on the face which will make your face appear smaller. They do this by making the muscles around jowls slack so to speak with the botox while the other unaffected muscles will pull.

What antibiotic counteracts Botox Injection?

There is no specific antibiotic that counteracts Botox injections. Botox, or botulinum toxin, works by blocking nerve signals to muscles, and antibiotics do not reverse this effect. However, certain treatments, like antitoxins, may be used in cases of botulism, which is caused by the same toxin. If there are concerns about Botox effects, it is best to consult a medical professional for appropriate advice.

What are the risks with botox?
