A wide-toothed comb is ideal for minimizing damage to hair and preventing injury to the scalp. Its spaced-out teeth reduce tugging and breakage, making it suitable for detangling wet or curly hair. Additionally, the rounded tips of the teeth ensure a gentle touch against the scalp, providing a safe grooming experience.
It only hurts when your hair is knotted and the hair dresser is trying to comb it with a thin brush
For those of you that already have curly hair keep you hair brushed when about 0.5 inches until you reach at least 1 inch. When at 1 inch comb your hair, comb your hair lightly not hard or else it will hurt. I recommend you to comb you hair at the top. When at 2 inches start to pick it with what we call and "afro pick" comb all around like a ball. Grow it out to at least 3-4 inches and pick it at the top try not to go so deep or you will hurt your scalp. For those of you that don't have curly hair crunch your hair up and pick it out every day and repeat, crunch, pick, crunch, pick. Until your hair is 4-6 inches and do whatever you like
The skull protects the brain from getting hurt
Your hair and nails do not have any nerve endings in them. Nerve endings are what allow you to sense pain. Without nerve endings, you cannot feel any pain, and that is why you don't get hurt when you cut your nails or hair.
why does it hurt to pull your hair but not cut it?
The comb is removed from fighting rooster so the opposing fighting cock cannot get the comb in its beak in order to hold the head and kick it with it's spurs. The comb may be trimmed if it gets frostbitten in the winter. This helps prevent infection and does not hurt the rooster since the tissue is already dead. Since fighting chickens is illegal, the is no reason to cut the comb off any chicken. The comb of a chicken helps regulate the body temperature of the bird, without the comb the chicken will suffer in the heat of the summer. Removing the comb also exposes the bird to infection and unnecessary pain and suffering.
i think if you have a bump on the back of your skull, you are getting a tumor.
Yes, it does hurt
A haircut should not "hurt", though if your hair was matted or tangled combing it so that it could be cut might have hurt, and dull scissors/shears may have meant that some hair was actually pulled out rather than being cleanly cut. There's a particularly devilish torture device known as "thinning shears" that were used on me as a child (I'm not BLAMING them for the current condition of my scalp, but I'm not EXONERATING them either) that seemed to be specifically designed to cut half the hair and pull the other half out by the roots. I don't think that was the actual intention, but it certainly seemed to be the end result; getting my hair CUT didn't hurt, but getting it THINNED hurt like the devil. If the person cutting your hair was using something that looked like a cross between scissors and a comb, you may have been subjected to this fiendish device.
Shampoo and condition hair. Dry with a towel. However even if this is not possible, start with your fingers. Pulling the tangle apart from it's side and gently pull the strands out of the tangle and put them over their shoulder until the tangle is completely gone. This should not hurt at all. If the tangles are not very big use a comb or a brush. I prefer a comb because combs are usually cleaner. Start at the bottom of the hair and comb or brush down. If the bottom of the hair is tangle free at this point. Start a little higher and comb or brush down. Tangles are at their weekest at the bottom. Keep starting at the bottom of the tangle and pulling gently down then going higher and higher until the tangles are gone.Sncerely, Janice BonserTo untangle you're hair you can:Use de-tangling spray.Brush it more often. There is no point in using a straightener because it will just straighten you're hair and not untangle it.SIMPLE.I use lots of conditioner and it smooths out i have really thick wavy hair too. It realy helps.
because it is new hair
It really does depend on if its clip in or sewn or glued. clip in wont hurt a hair on your hair! sewn wont hurt but will cause tension and is very breakable. And glued WILL hurt! its not even close to being good for your hair! don't glue or sew! get clip in!
