You can take it out but don't leave it out for too long because new piercings can close up pretty fast. Make sure that the new bar that you are putting in is clean and sterilized, otherwise it could infect your nipple and it really hurts (it happened to me). If you can't get the bar back in, make sure that you can get help from someone else or go back to the shop you got it done at and get them to assist you. And do it quickly, because as I said, if you've only had it for one week it can close really fast.
Taking jewelry out before its healed increases the risk of infection but does not definitely mean it will get infected. If you plan on permanently removing the piercing, just keep cleaning the area while it heals.
of course! but it will close
haha.. one determined week
it is a good idea not to get one
normally it takes one-two week for piercing to get normal depending on the body's healing ..
Take a cartilage piercing out like any other ear piercing, get a grip of one hand on the jewel part of the earring and the other hand on the backing and slowly pull hand #1 out pushing away from the face. While this is occurring, take hand #2 and push the backing in a twisty motion away from the face. Do NOT take out a cartilage piercing if not in for 1 full year to 1.5 years in the risk of infection. If already infected, contact your physician and have him/her remove it. Do not do so yourself! :) good luck!
Ideally, you should go to a piercing parlor. From one man to another, you do not want to do this at home. Its dangerous if it gets infected and you really should considering finding a licensed piercer.
A nose piercing can usually be changed after one week of having it pierced. You can try out places like Piercing Pagoda, Claire's, or even Hot Topics to find a nose piercing - depending on your friend's style.
Sea Salt water. Combine a tablespoon of sea salt for every half cup of water, it's a strong solution. Makesure the water is hot as you can stand it without burning. Soak a paper towel in the solution and apply to the piercing. Do it 2 times a day for 15-ish minutes twice a day. Clean it gently in the shower. It should be good in a week. ps. DONT PLAY WITH IT!!!!!!
i just got one about a week ago and it is actually a piercing on the bottom lip,and it is where pierce the top and bottom of your bottom lip. Here is a picture of it
If you got the piercing done at a professional body piercing studio there is no reason to remove it and removing it after just getting the piercing done would be the number one worst move to make. You should (if you choose to remove the jewellery) wait at least 24 ~ 48 hours after the piercing has been done, this way you wont bleed to badly. Now if the piercing was done by a hack and not at a professional studio, then I would consider getting a tetnus shot from the doctor and remove the jewellery in 24 ~ 48 hours.
You will know when your lip piercing is infected when your lip is totally swollen and you cannot tolerate the pain. When you touch it, it is extremely painful that you can no longer eat properly. When you see yellowish fluid coming out when you kinda push and put pressure on it, that's is one definite sign, it is infected. Fever will occur in some cases. You should clean it more frequently to avoid infection. =) Hope this will help you.
Well any piercing will hurt for a while because the body has a foreign object in it so at first it'll try to reject it but with piercings it takes several weeks to heal, wherein the body can not reject it so begins to heal around it, making piercings virtually painless one they've healed. (Or if it still hurts it could be infected.)
