It may depend on how porous your hair is, but, we did my daughter'shair, it came out a awesome color, and she went to Florida and was in pools constantly (five or six times a day!). It seemed to come out a bit the first time she came out of the pool, but never budged after that. As a matter of face, I am no looking for some color remover so we can try another color. It has faded just a shade or two lighter. It has been a month and a half. Good stuff. Hope this helps.
Yes
Yes and the swimming pool will make it fade much faster.
No, they can't swim.
If someone waits at least 2 weeks to go swimming after a dye job, the chlorine shouldnÕt lighten their hair. If you arenÕt sure, you can wear a swim cap.
the 'hair chalk' is just artist's pastels created to use on paper. They are made from finely ground pure pigment bound with a binder such as gum arabic, when used on paper they smudge easily if a fixative hasnt been used. If you are using these on your hair and go into a pool unless your hair has a lot of fixative on the pastel coloured parts the pigment will just come out in the water. Try using hairspray on the coloured hair before going into a pool as it may help preserve the pigmented chalk on your hair
Hair bleaches in the pool not because of the chlorine, but because of the metals and copper in the water. If the pool has a high concentration of metals and copper, then yes, it will appear or turn a faint green.
Not sure about the week part but the chemicals in a pool will turn blonde green. No joking was in a pool as a kid and my hair was an algae green for a while after
No; green hair is caused by copper pipes. Just rinse your hair in water that has not gone through the pool plumbing after swimming.
Pool water contains chlorine, which, other than helping to keep the pool clean and sanitary, is also used in bleaching. So, spending a lot of time in a swimming pool will bleach your hair.
Pool water and hair color often equal disaster. Best to wait until after pool season to color. The bleach used in pools will lighten your hair in most cases. Unfortunately, chemicals i the pool water can build up on your hair. Best to get a treatment to remove these before getting a new color.
Yes you can. Shampoo your hair after the swim.
