That would be the teeth. Anodontia is also connected to a genetic disorder called "Echodermal Dysplasia". Typically conditions of echodermal Dysplasia and not singular. The syndromes tend to appear in 3s. Such as your child may have anodontia, but may also have eyesight and hearing problems. IF your child was diagnosed with anodontia, request their pediatrican to do genetic testing. In all the research i have done, there are mixed results as to weather this is a progressive or non progressive disorder. To date my child is 14, and i can not find dental care for her. This is a rare disorder and most dentist wish to treat it as they would an everyday thing. They do not seem to understand the physical and emotional pain. She has 5 adult teeth, and the remaining are all baby teeth. The latest recommendation was to leave her mouth the way it is. To only remove as they deteriorate. They refuse to take any preventative measures and when it comes to appearance's, I believe the words the last Dentist told her was "Toughen Up"
