NO. Both contain DNA but they are very different forms. The nucleus contains Eukaryotic DNA while the Mitochondria contains DNA similar to the Prokaryotes. The nucleus is responsible for control of the cell and stores the vast majority of the DNA. The mitochondria's main function is to produce ATP (Adenosine TriPhosphate) which is the energy carrying molecule.

What are cells that have the same number of chromosomes as the parent cell?

From a single cell after fertilization. You have the cell division by mitosis. At the time of birth, you have 100 trillion cells in your body. out of which you have 25 trillion cells are red blood cells. they do not have nucleus in them. Rest of the body cells have the same number of chromosomes as the parent cell.

Which cells in the blood does not have the nucleus?

What does the nucleus do in the body?

The nucleus controls the cell. It is like the brain of the cell. Another way to put it is that the nucleus is like the control panel of the cells in your entire body. If that^ doesn't make sense then think of the nucleus as your brain. The cell is like your body. The brain( nucleus) controls your body's movements and reactions to certain things that do not include love.

What is the dense region in nucleus of female cells?

What if your skin cells have the exact same DNA as your blood cells?

This would be normal. All body cells have the same DNA, including blood cells, at least at some point during their life cycles. Mature red blood cells do not contain DNA because they do not have cell nuclei. But when red blood cells are first formed, they do have a nucleus with DNA identical to the rest of the body cells.

Do a pancreas cell and a blood cell in your body contain the same set of chromosomes?

No - Blood cells (Red Blood Cells) do not have a nucleus and therefore do not have any chromosomes. Pancreatic cells have a full chromosome compliment.
