Are cell phones good or bad for students?

Yes, students should be allowed to carry their cell phones to school, however during class, they should have it tucked away in their backpacks! Their cell phones should not be out or being used in class!

well kids should have a phone in class because you never ever know whats going to happen if it's a robbery a killer? there might be some things you could use a cell phone with like for a calculator or the internet instead of using the laptops or computers you could just use the Internet on your phone. yes some of you people think there are some some reasons why we shouldn't have a phone in the class. just one more thing if you think having a phone in class is a distraction to others then listen closely the teacher could just keep the phones until we have to use them. if we don't need the phone that day then the teachers could just pass the word on to others saying " that we don't need our phone today so please don't bring then today thank you." or something unless you can think of something better. well that's it by ;)

Because you're in school to LEARN ! If you cannot survive a few hours without access to a mobile phone, there's something seriously wrong ! However - for those who insist on using mobile phones instead of paying attention in class... there will ALWAYS be a job at McDonalds - as a toilet cleaner !
