The oldest, most widely accepted DNA sample comes from a 400,000-year-old plant species found in ice, in Siberia. The oldest DNA recovered from a hominid is 100,000 years old. The DNA was sampled from a Neanderthal tooth found in the Scladina cave in the Meuse Basin, Belgium.
It is not the nucleoid like the person before me said. DNA is actually found in the nucleus of Bacteria. A thirteen- year old girl who is taking basic biology knew this of the top of her head! :) If the person of above me would have taken biology themselves instead of listening to naive 13 year old girls, they would know that a bacteria cell does not have a nucleus therefore the DNA is found in the nucleoid region. Get some of that.
An old strain of DNA refers to the original sequence of genetic code, while a new strain refers to a mutated or altered version of the DNA. Mutations in the DNA sequence can lead to differences in characteristics or functions of an organism.
Since replication is semi-conservative and DNA replicates before mitosis the DNA in the new and old cell ( if you wish to use that terminology, as both are daughter cells ) is composed of one new strand and one old template strand.
In DNA replication, an existing DNA strand (template strand) is used to guide the assembly of a new complementary DNA strand. Enzymes like DNA polymerase add complementary nucleotides to each template strand, resulting in two identical DNA molecules. This process ensures accurate transmission of genetic information during cell division.
You will know a stamp is old if it's not written on by whether it will stick to the envelope or not.
It depends a great deal on the stamp and how old it is. If there is a special cancellation or cachet on the envelope, it is better to keep it on the envelope. The older the stamp the more likely that the envelop will have more value than the plain stamp. It is better to leave the stamps on the envelope because there is a postage mark that goes over the stamp. That will give the stamp more value.
Most collectors prefer to have the stamp in its original position, on envelope or document. This shows the usage of the stamp as it was intended and will have more value than the stamp by itself.
Deoxiribose, this is a 15 year old answering this 4 the first time!
I too found some of these in my Father-in-Laws collection. I found this recent info. Seems it is worth about 20 cents http://en.allexperts.com/q/Stamps-Philately-1610/2009/4/old-stamp-question.htm bob
Terence Stamp is 77 years old (birthdate: July 22, 1939).
Old enough to address an envelope - there is no time limit.

value of silver stamp holder
It's a 1969 Haiti stamp worth about .20c US.
Without knowing which stamp you are refering to, it is impossible to tell. More than one country issued airmail stamps. The US issued about 6 or 7 priced at .15cents. Although most of them were priced between .30 and .50. We also need to know whether the stamp is mint or used, condition of the stamp, is it on an envelope or not.
