A cross between a white rooster and a black hen is 100 percent blue offspring when two of these offspring are mated the probable phenotypic ratio seen in their off spring would be what?

If you crossed a black hen/roo with a white hen/roo, the offspring would NOT be blue. If he was recessive white, the chicks would be black. If he was dominant white, the chicks would be white with some black "smudges" or "spots". The only way to produce 100% blue chicks is to cross a black roo over splash hens or a splash rooster over black hens.

What race will a baby be if father is white mother black?

The child is biracial or multiracial. It would be silly to suggest that the product of two races mixing would be one of those two races and not the other. Forget anything you've heard about "race passing from the mother." That is obviously not accurate. There are many famous people who have a black father and a white mother. Barack Obama, Tim Duncan, the rapper Drake, Alicia Keys, Halle Berry and many others. Commonly, these people are referred to as black, but that is only one half of their ancestry. Realistically, they are neither black nor white; they are both. In practice, unless they have especially light skin or ambiguous features, they will probably be considered black by society. Mariah Carey has a black father and a white mother, but she is almost never considered black.

What does it mean to be heterozygous for a trait?

One cannot really be heterozygous for a trait. You can be heterozygous for a gene, and based on the whether that gene is dominant or recessive will determine if you express that trait or not. Humans (and most organisms) carry two copies of each chromosome. As such, for a given genetic sequence, there can be three possibilities (there are exceptions, but let's keep it simple for now). The genes A)both code for the trait, B) neither code for the trait, or C) One gene does and the other does not. The C option is is being heterozygous. Let's get an example now: Assume that in some animal, there are only two hair colors -- Black or White. Also, the Black Hair color is Dominant. The black hair color is coded by the uppercase letter "B" and the white hair color is coded by the lowercase letter "b". An animal with the coding "BB" is HOMOZYGOUS for Black hair because BOTH genes code for black hair. Similarly, an animal coding "bb" will have White hair, because BOTH genes code for white hair. Now, let's say these two animals mate and have a baby coding with "Bb". This baby will have BLACK hair because the Black hair color is dominant and overpowers the White hair gene. To be Heterozygous (usually) means that you will express the dominant version of the trait, BUT your offspring/children can possibly get the recessive version of the trait.

Black woman has baby with a white man is the child white or black?

well it depends on how WHITE and BLACK the two people are, if the dad isn't that dark but the mom is pretty white it would most likely be a baby with a TINY bit dark skin but if the mom is really white and the dad is like pure black (im not rasist) then the baby will be in between. hope that helped! :)

Can two white people have a coloured person?

if you're asking if two white people can make a black baby then no, they can't because they don't have the gene that codes for that pigment. I mutation could occur and they could have a baby that could be darker or lighter than they are, but in general no, they can't.

Can to black people make a white baby?

It is possible if both of the black people have some white in their ancestry somewhere. if the two people are black it means black is dominant.. so i think its not possible Yes it is quite possible. According to the Mendellian priciples of inheritance it is quite possible for the offspring to be white even if both parents are black. Both parents would have to carry a specific white gene and both of these genes would have to be present in the new offspring if it were to be white.

What is the chance of two white people having a black baby?

it depends on whether the parents have a black parents to have a black baby both parents must have a black parent to posses the gene to create the black baby, even so, if both parents are white it means that the "black" gene is recessive (doesn't affect there skin colour but still carry the gene), when both parents have this recessive gene it means that there a 1/4 chance of the baby being black I'm not sure if this is the exact chance but in theory it should lie around 1/4

Can an African American female and a white male conceive a fully white child?

No, this is not possible. A biracial baby (one whose parents were from two different races) inherits the genes of both; so while the baby might be lighter skinned than a baby whose parents were both black, a child born from a black parent and a white parent will neither be fully black nor fully white-- that is why the term "biracial" has come into common use, since it reflects the influence of both parents' races.

Can two white people make a black child?

It is possible to have a set of twins with one white child and one black child, if they are fraternal. Two eggs can be fertilized in rapid succession by fathers of different races, or the phenotype of one zygote is for light skin and the other for dark skin.
