What is the word respiration word equation?

Guys, the proper scientific formaula is: glucose+oxygen ----> carbon dioxide+water (+energy) ENERGY IS ALWAYS IN BRACKETS

Why do plants need oxygen?

Plants need oxygen for aerobic respiration. Although photosynthesis produces oxygen as a waste product, and this oxygen is used for aerobic respiration, plants still need oxygen to survive, as the oxygen produced as a waste product of photsynthesis is not always sufficient to supply the plant with all the oxygen it needs.

What biological process carbon dioxide water glucose water oxygen This process is completed in what?

Glucose + oxygen ----> CO_2 + water ... cellular respiration CO_2 + water ---> Glucose + oxygen ... photosynthesis There's no point having water on both sides of the equation you can always reduce it to just one side. Cellular Respiration

Do your body cells always use cellular respiration and fermentation?

Yes. Cell respiration and lactic acid fermentation.

What would happen to photosynthesis if there was no carbon dioxide?

Plant cells have mitochondria, actually, meaning they can perform cell respiration to make ATP, and carbon dioxide will be a bi-product. (Cell respiration is the process of using oxygen to make energy, and ATP is basically chemical energy.) Not all cells in a plant have mitochondria, though, and most of the larger plants won't be able to perform cell respiration quickly enough to survive. Eventually, carbon dioxide will replenish the air, but the most all of the survivors will be smaller vegetation. Also, animals primarily use cellular respiration to make ATP, since no animal has chloroplasts. They, too, will replenish the earth's supply of carbon dioxide, and at a much faster rate. However, if the earth suddenly became void of all animals, plant cells with mitochondria, and bacteria that perform cell respiration (the lot of them!), which is why the air had a deficiency of carbon dioxide, then all photosynthetic organisms would need to adapt to their new environment or die. But the earth will never have a deficiency of carbon dioxide, because organisms are made of carbon, the air consists of large quantities of oxygen, and carbon and oxygen (which, remember, always travels as O2) will randomly bond simply because they exist together. But to answer your question, photosynthesis cannot occur without carbon dioxide, so it simply wouldn't happen until carbon dioxide were present.

When does respiration take place in humans?

Respiration, the breathing in of air with oxygen and exhaling air with carbon dioxide, is always taking place except when a person is holding their breath. Cellular respiration, the conversion of nutrients to energy to sustain life, is always taking place in the human body as long as their is food available and the body is alive.

When does cellular respiration happens?

It happens all of the time, except when you are sprinting. It then switches to fermentation, which doesn't use oxygen. This is because when you are sprinting, you don't get enough oxygen for cellular respiration to occur.

Does a change in position always involve a force?

Yes, a change in position always involve force.

How is photosynthesis the reverse of cellular respiration?

Respiration in animal cells using oxygen produce carbon dioxide, water and ATP. Plant cells, using photosynthesis, use carbon dioxide and produce oxygen and energy. Plants make O2 and use CO2 while animals use O2 and make CO2

What is aerobic cellular repiration?

A) glucose → lactic acid + energy B) energy + carbon dioxide + water → glucose + oxygen + water C) glucose → ethyl alcohol + carbon dioxide + energy D) glucose + lactose → galactose + water E) glucose + oxygen → carbon dioxide + water + energy From sallydeath

Does respiration always need oxygen?

No it does not as it can also respire anaerobicallyOxygen is needed for aerobic respiration only.Anaerobic respiration does not need

What gas is released by living to the air that is utilized by plants?

Carbon Dioxide. Animals exhale carbon dioxide as a product of respiration. Plants principally utilise carbon dioxide and produce oxygen through photosynthesis. Plants may also respire in the absence of adequate sunlight, which is why keeping plants in the bedroom is not always a good idea.
