i do think it does in humans but it might in plants.
pistil Sperm is formed in the pollen tube while travelling through the style of the pistil.
this is because premature pollen grain do not contain the sperm cell for fertilization. only the generative nucleus in mature pollen grain will divide mitosisly to form sperm cell for fertilization
When a pollen grain is immature male gametophyte, it has two cells ,a generative cell and a tube cell. A pollen grain becomes a mature male gametophyte when the generative cell divides by mitosis to form two sperm cells. In most species, this process occures after the pollen grain lands on the stigma of a carpel and the pollen tube begins to form. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
a single pollen grain is only one cell. A mature pollen grain in many plants have two cells as a result of pollen mitosis- 1. the tube cell and 2. the germ cell. The tube cell forms the pollen tube at the time of pollen germination and the germ cell nucleus divides again to form two male gametes.
The egg cell for females (contains genetic material) and the sperm cell for males (carries genetic material to the egg cell).
whats the answer to the tube that grows out of a pollen grain contains a what

In a grain of pollen, what is the function of the sperm cell that doesn't join with the egg cell?
A pollen tube emerges out from the pollen grain fallen on the stigma which leads the male sex cell to the ovary through style (a connection stigma & ovary.
a seed or a spore or a flower or a pollen grain

In animals it would be called a sperm. In plants I assume the answer would be the pollen, however, the pollen is not necessarily one cell. Even if it is one cell it will have more than one nucleus (2 or 3).
When a pollen grain lands on stigma, pollination occurs. The pollen grain germinates and the pollen tube grows through the style. The sperm nucleus travels through the tube (generated by the tube nucleus) and fuses with an ovule which then develops into an embryo (or zygote)
sexual reproductive
First pollen falls from a male cone onto a female cone. In time a sperm cell and an egg cell join together in an ovule on the female cone
Pollen grows down the style of a flower and produces 2 sperm which then fertilize an ovule and another cell (which provides energy for the ovule).
