Hi there,

The answer is practically everything. It keeps out water, blood, and all the other liquids in the body(i think that blood and water are the only 2 though.)

When viruses attack a cell the cell wall is working as hard as it can to keep the DNA from entering, but the viruses are too strons. When you think about it, the cell wall is there for protection. If anything gets into the cell, it would most likely kill you or turn you into a zombie, which would start the zombie apocolips. Just kidding, but really, it is there for a good reason.---The Science Geek

Why do plants cells have cell walls and animal cell do not?

Plant cell does not have well developed internal organs for preserving water and for osmoregulatio so to prevent loss of water, and also to prevent entering of extra water they need cell wall, secondly they also need it as their first line defence against pathogens

Regulatory proteins that serve to prevent a cell from entering the S phase?

Some examples of regulatory proteins that prevent a cell from entering the S phase include the retinoblastoma protein (Rb), which acts as a tumor suppressor by inhibiting cell cycle progression, and the cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors (CDKIs) like p21 and p27, which regulate CDK activity to block S phase entry. These proteins help maintain normal cell cycle control and prevent uncontrolled cell proliferation.
