There are numerous ways. But here's one if you are female. When you have a bacteria infection in your *private area* and if you do not treat it right, that could lead to kidney infections.
Kidney infections usually occur through an infection that has spread through the urinary tract, such as the urethra and the bladder.

To help reduce the chances of a urinary tract infection, urinate shortly after sexual intercourse and keep the area around the opening to the urethra clean by washing at least daily, especially after defecating and before sexual intercourse.

I was diagnosed with a kidney infection today after thinking it was stone, while it was some what of a relief even though the pain is still borderline unbearable. I Was prescribed ciprofloxacin and prescription Motrin, the antibiotic/Motrin combination seems to be working well but I'm also taking baths in Epsom salt and laying on a heating pad on high whenever I get the chance to take away the Back pain. It's actually helping. also, drinking plenty or water and cranberry juice is key to a fast recovery
