By the environment they live in and by there adaptations that they have.
Animals in temperate deciduous forests also have to adapt to the changing seasons. They must be able to cope with cold winters when food is in short supply. Migration and hibernation are two adaptations used by the animals in this biome.
Hibernation is an inactive, sleeplike state that some animals enter during the winter. Animals that hibernate protect themselves against the cold and reduce their need for food. A hibernating animal's body temperature is lower than normal, and its heartbeat and breathing slow down greatly. An animal in this state needs little energy to stay alive and can live off fat stored in its body. Thus, hibernating animals can more easily survive the cold winter months.
Squirrels, chipmunks, and some jays often store large supplies of food (such as nuts and seeds) in the ground, under fallen leaves, or in tree hollows for use during the cold winters when food is scarce. Cold temperatures help prevent the decomposition of the nuts and seeds.
Huh.? From what I can tell (I live in a temperate decidious forest) most of the mammals aren't brightly colored. They're usually brown or grey. It helps with the camouflage. Majority of them don't depend on rain since it comes and goes oddly. Um... I think that's all I got, but I'll be on the lookout.
Adaptation can take many years. However, since each animal is born with different traits and mutations, the ones with an advantage survive. For example, birds with smaller beaks might survive more easily in the new conditions, thus, their offspring are most likely to have small beaks too. The birds with the bigger beaks might not be able to survive, and these won't be produced anymore. --- This is just an example i made up on top of my head. In addition, each animal has its own way of adapting, whether it is to change its length/time of the year that it hibernates, or the time that it picks its food. There is no real pattern of adaptation, it varies on the species. Yet, many animals do not adapt, therefore many species go extinct.
Spiders: In the deciduous forest spiders can build homes out of webs
Gorillas: They can climb trees to stay away from their predators
Monkeys: In bad storms, monkeys can shelter in the trees
well the trees have thick bark so they can survive the cold winters. and the animals have to grow thick fur for the winters and they have light skin for camouflage.
When leaves fall of trees, animals hide in there

In the deciduous forest there are many flowers like the passion berry and the blue lily. There are many other flowers but those are some of the main ones. The Deciduous forest does not have much vegetation but there are many trees that contain outrageous amounts of flowers. Animals need these trees because they provide shelter and some use them for food and even water from the leaves. The trees adapt to this forest by having thick bark barriers on the trees to keep the animals out and the trees from dying.
by changing white in the winer
There are quite a few animals that don't adapt to living in the temperate zone. These animals include polar bears.
they cant so they die
Because they can.
it flies in water and eat carrotes
are you kiding why are you wasting your life
i dont o
Yes. All animals adapt - so do the ones in the temperate grasslands. It's called "maintaining homeostasis (a stable internal environment)"
Wolves live in a variety of biomes including deserts, taiga, deciduous forests, grasslands, and even in the tundra.
