It also draws some moisture from its core to cool itsself down. if it can find some moisture in the groung is clings to is as if it is is life!
IS usually does not grow in hot erias it as small so they usually grow beneath rocks or near moisture!

They might also flower only at night, to avoid the withering effects of solar radiation. Some will only grow in arroyos (or valleys) where water can more easily be found underground. Others will only grow in shady areas, or near shady-bearing trees and shrubs. Some don't even have leaves, they just have needles!
