I don't think there is way to treat it or to fix it other than surgery, i know that it is not dangerous, just that it can become a very big nuisance, sometimes the skin that is covering the bump can become sensitive and painful. The condition can cause speech issues if they become too large. Other than being a complete pain in the butt, i don't think there is much that u can do about them, THIS IS NOT A FORM OF ORAL CANCER.
An occipital torus is a bony ridge or protrusion located on the back of the skull, specifically on the occipital bone. It is typically found in Neanderthals and some other archaic human species. Torus fractures, or buckle fractures, are extremely common injuries seen in children. Because children have softer bones, one side of the bone may buckle upon itself without disrupting the other side; this is also known as an incomplete fracture. The word torus is derived from the Latin word 'Tori' meaning swelling or protuberance. Children commonly sustain this injury by falling on an outstretched hand. Treatment of a torus or buckle fracture is by casting the injury for a short duration, usually about three weeks. These injuries tend to heal much more quickly than the similar greenstick fractures.
