Cells are the base unit of living organisms. At the beginning of life, the first organisms must have been single cells like today's bacteria. All organisms have evolved from that simplest prokaryotic cell, and from unicellular, multicellular organisms evolved. Also, all of biochemistry changes with Natural Selection, as does genetics. The biochemistry of the cell and cell differentiation has evolved. Photosynthetic cells, immune cells, nervous cells.... All have evolved with the higher organisms and have given them their identities of having neurological systems, immune systems or the ability to photosynthesise.

Since life's basic unit is the cell, the basic unit of evolution (of the phenotype) is indeed largely the cell too. From zygote develops organism within the constraints of that species' evolution, cell by cell by cell by differentiated cell.

How does endo symbiosis play a role in the evolution of prokaryotes to eukaryotes and how are mitochondria important to this evolution?

Endosymbiosis is the process where one organism lives inside another. In the evolution of eukaryotes, it is believed that a prokaryotic cell engulfed a smaller prokaryotic cell, forming a symbiotic relationship. This led to the development of organelles like mitochondria. Mitochondria are crucial in eukaryotic evolution because they produce energy for the cell through respiration, allowing for more complex cellular functions to evolve.

Which of the following is true of the evolution of cell membranes?

The evolution of cell membranes involved the development of phospholipid bilayers to create a barrier between the cell's interior and its environment. This allowed for the separation of internal cell processes from the external environment, contributing to the complexity and specialization of cells over time.

What is a reasonable alternative to evolution of a cell?

There are no reasonable scientific alternatives to cell evolution, especially since the endosymbiotic theory is now widely accepted. I an sure you can think of some unreasonable alternative to cell evolution. Evolution is the change in allele frequency over time in a population of organisms. Cells could be though as organisms is unicellular especially.

How are organisms related to evolution?

Organisms are related to evolution through the process of natural selection. Evolution is the change in the heritable characteristics of biological populations over successive generations, which occurs as a result of natural selection acting on heritable traits. Organisms that possess advantageous traits are more likely to survive and reproduce, passing on those traits to their offspring, leading to changes in the population over time.

What is the difference between evolution coeveolution convergent evolution and divergent evolution?

Convergence= occurs when different creatures have similar organs...and disproves evolution, but reveals an Intelligent Designer, i.e. Creator God. Divergence = very different-diverse-features in plants or animals which ought to be very closely related. See more on the web.

How does the cell theory show that Darwin's theory of evolution was incorrect?

It does not. Cell theory is fully compatible with evolutionary theory. Does this mean we know everything about the evolution of cells? No. We say we do not know, not that cell theory shows that evolutionary theory is incorrect. ( except, of course, if you are referring to heritability. This Darwin got wrong, but this is not directly related to cell theory )

Is Evidence of Evolution enough to prove you are all related?

Yes. Ifone cell was created in the begining then we are all tied to that cell, which makes us all related, somhow. Although we may not be even close, your wife could be you millionth cousin.

What is the difference between the theory of language and evolution?

Theory of evolution refers to animals and plants evolution along the time. Language evolution is another issue, not entirely related to the theory of evolution. It follows the theory of evolution on some way but it is related to culture evolution, not to the physical attributes evolution.

Is Copernicus related to evolution?

Copernicus is a famous scientist. He is not related to evolution. Evolution is the gradual process in which something changes into a different and usually more complex form. Copernicus is a human scientist. These two are not related.

What is the study of vertebrate forelimbs is related to what evidence?

In evolution the study of vertebrate forelimbs is related to the anatomical evidence from homology.

In evolution the study of vertebrate forelimbs is related to evidence?

What is the name of evolution that produces similar but distantly related organisms?

Convergent evolution, or convergence theory.

How are taxonomy and evolution related?

Taxonomy and evolution are related because the system of taxonomy is based on evolutionary and genetic differences.

What cell theory contradicts evolution?

Cell theory does not contradict evolution. Cell theory states that all living organisms are composed of cells, while evolution explains how these cells and organisms change over time through the process of natural selection. Both concepts are supported by scientific evidence and are compatible with each other.

How might evolution be related to circadian rhythms?

hate to break it to ya.... but......There is no such thing as evolution
