Even a brief brisk walk of 5 minutes daily will get the synthroid working faster, feeling the effects on an increased metabolism in just a week to ten days.
VERY important to take on empty stomach and wait for half an hour before eating or drinking. VERY recent studies (2008) show caffeine reduces the effect by 60% (i.e. when coffee was used to wash down the pill, diluting the stomach acid) Use only enough water to take the pill, preferably in the morning. Wait half an hour then have the coffee. This is crucial.
Yes, you can drown a cockroach. Cockroaches can hold their breath for up to 40 minutes, so it may take around that long for them to drown.
i can't fully answer your question because the idea that the synthroid i was taking has been the cause of two large dark brown spots on both sides of my face which I've had to repeatedly treat with painfull laser treatment, not to mention the others located in various spots, is new to me. That being said, i did find the following comment on a web page. "L-tyrosine is converted by skin cells into melanin, the dark pigment that protects against the harmful effects of ultraviolet light. Thyroid hormones, which have a role in almost every process in the body, also contain tyrosine as part of their structure." and since synthroid is a replacement for thyroid hormones, I'm guessing its a yes. and if you do decide to treat the spots, if they are the same as mine, regular laser treatments do not work, you have to get the ones for hard to treat ones. its supposedly similar to a pregnancy mask.

I have been prescribed and have taken hydrocodone-homatropine syrmor with synthroid. My Dr. prescribed this for me when I had bronchitis and he was fully aware that I take synthroid. I have had no problems at all from taking it. In fact, it is the only thing that worked to stop my night time coughing fits and allowed me to get the rest I needed.
I have been on Synthroid for a year. After a bad cold I called my Doctor and she said to take the Synthroid and wait 1 hour before taking ibuprofen.
