The name itself indicates there difference.

Diffusion occurs without any other active participant/free flow diffusion is called Transport diffusion.

Diffusion occurs with help of other active participant is called Facilitate Diffusion

No, facilitated diffusion uses proteins channels to transport items across the cell membrane. Where active transport requires energy and moves items against their concentration gradient (from low concentration to high concentration), facilitated diffusion requires no energy input and items move along the concentration gradient (high concentration to low concentration).

Nope.

Facilitated diffusion is a passive transport. It uses carrier proteins, but doesn't require any energy.

Active transport and facilitated diffusion with in the cell are similar in that they are the means to move molecules in and out of the cell. Both methods are energy based operations.

No. Facilitated diffusion is a type of passive transport.

Diffusion with a channel protein?

They are the channels by which molecules enter in facilitated diffusion.

Is osmosis an example of facilitated diffusion or active transport?

No. Facilitated diffusion is an example of passive transport because it does not require the cell to expend energy.

no

How is active transport different than simple and facilitated diffusion?

simple and facilitated diffusion don't require energy and are forms of passive transport. Active transport requires energy

Compare and contrast active transport and facilitated diffusion-?

Active transport moves solutes against their concentration gradient; facilitated diffusion moves substances down their concentration gradient.

Is diffusion through ion channels a form of active transport?

Facilitated diffusion, or diffusion through ion channels, is not a form of active transport. It is a spontaneous passive transport.

What does active transport and facilitated diffusion have in common?

Active transport is when proteins move substances into the cell while expending energy. Facilitated diffusion is the movement of chemicals through a protein into a cell.
