The intense heal pain after resting can be an indication of one of two issues. The first possibility is Plantar Fasciitis, which is a condition where the thick tissue that starts from the heel and ends at the toe is swollen. It is usually caused when the foot is not allowed to heal properly, therefore, causing a series of micro fractures. This will cause severe pain when pressure is placed on the heel such as in the mornings or after long periods of rest. Achilles Tendinitis is the second potential issue. This is when the Achilles' tendon is inflamed thus causing more discomfort when pressure is placed in the area.
i have no idea but i have a fear of them too! i cant stand looking at them or touching them and i am afraid of it being cut or slit open. once my toe nail accidently nicked it and it started bleeding and i got covered in sweat and had to clench my teeth shut when i put bandage on it. i think it is a very rare phobia so it has no ral name but it should.
Instep is incorrect. According to dictionary.com instep = "the arched upper surface of the human foot between the toes and the ankle"
first its the toes then the ball(the round part next to the biggest toe) next is the arch(the middle part of the foot that is maybe the part that is very ticklish) and the heel(the back of the foot. that when you walk is the last part to hit the floor or ground)

The best way to treat the Achilles tendon is to relax your muscle, be sure to stretch before you start running, and if you have time you should strengthen your calf muscles with exercises such as toe raises etc.
Emedicinehealth.com is a good place for information regarding running injuries. Injuries from running may include ankle sprains, turf toe, and a knee strain. Serious injuries from running are uncommon but a ruptured Achilles tendon or stress fracture can result.
its the way we were made Or, walk backward.
The tendon is called the hallucis longus tendon. It also has another name, hallux limitus. People that experience problems associated with this tendon can have conditions such as trigger toe or plantar fasciitis.

If that sounded a little comlecated it is a pretty simple move but I have done tap scince the age of three. If you have any more questions just ask

No. Both involve painful conditions but seedy toe, or white line disease which can cause a separation of the hoof wall at the toe, is exasperated by wet and humid conditions does not affect the heel of the horse. Navicular syndrome or disease is a condition that affects the navicular bone. Boney changes here can create a roughened surface for the deep digital tendon to slide upon... causing heel pain.
