nucleic acids have the nucleotide base pair sequence which has a sugar and a phosphate backbone which are the building blocks of nucleic acids. which in turn constitutes our DNA. It has many uses as it has DNA which is considered as a hereditary material of humans and its proportion is maintained same in all the offsprings.

Nucleic acids like DNA and RNA carry genetic instructions for making proteins and pass that information on to the next generation.
