First of all, plant cells' vacuoles, storage areas, are far larger than animal cells' vacuoles, in ratio of organelle to cell. Also, an animal cell splits by stretching apart during telophase. A plant cell splits by making a cell plate which later becomes the cell walls on the sides of the daughter cells

Animal cells only have a cell membrane. Plants cells also have, in addition, a cell wall.

Plant cells also contain chlorophyll which is found in chloroplasts, which allows plants to photosynthesis, which allows oxygen production and the utilisation of carbon dioxide to produce food in the form of sugar (glucose) which from the point of view of a plant is pretty fundemental. It is the various chemical within the chlorophyll which causes plant leaves to be coloured.

a plant cell contains a cell wall made up of cellulose and an animal cell does not have a cell wall. Plant cells contain chloroplast which allows the plant to be green in color. Plant cells contain large vacuoles and animal cells do not. Animals cells contain flagellae and centrioles which are not found in plant cells

The two structural differences between plant cells and animal cells are:

1) Plants have a cell wall in addition to cell membrane

In animals cell walls are absent

2)Plant cells are generraly larger in size.

Animal cells are smaller than plant cells.

Plant Cells have a more square or rectangle shape because they have a cell wall whereas animal cells dont because they dont have a cell wall. In addition, the plant cell contains one large vacuole and an animal cell contains many small vacuoles. Most plant cells dont contain lysosomes but animal cells do. Plant Cells have chloroplasts but animal cells don't.

Plant Cells:

Cell Wall

Chloroplasts

One large vacuole

Rectangle shape

Animal Cells:

Many small vacuoles

Circular shape

Lysosomes

What are the three structural differences between a typical animal cell and a typical green plant cell?

The three differences between typical plant and animal cells involve plant cells having something that animal cells lack. Two of these three differences, the vacuole and the cell wall, are both designed for support and strength for the overall structure of the plant. The third difference, the chloroplast, is a more mechanical difference, as it allows the plants to photosynthesize.

Does plants and animal cells have no differences?

Yes, there are differences between plants and animal cells, following differences can be considered : 1) Plant cells have cell wall which is absent in animal cell. 2) Plant cell lack centrioles whereas animal cells have centrioles.

Are plant cells usually smaller or larger than animal cells?

Plant cells can be larger than animal cells. The normal range for an animal cell varies from 10 to 30 micrometers while that for a plant cell stretches from 10 to 100 micrometers. Beyond size, the main structural differences between plant and animal cells lie in a few additional structures found in animal cells. These structures include: chloroplasts, the cell wall, and vacuoles
