Deoxyribonucleic acid. It is a molecule that passes genetic information from generation to generation and lots of other important stuff. Just fyi, if you have a question of this nature try wikipedia first. DNA- Deoxyribo nucleic acid. Is where the letters come from however it is written deoxyribonucleic acid. DNA is a nucleic acid which is fundamental to the development of new cells. Information found in DNA encoded in genes on chromosomes is read and used to create all new cells in the body.
