Eye color is dictated by your genes, having hybrid brown means that your genes are Bb (i think eye color is the letter b) or whatever letter it is. It just means that either

1)one of your parents has brown eyes and the other has blue eyes

or

2)both have brown eyes and their parents were in the first situation

The eye color is determined by the genes of the parents.

Why do huskies have a blue and brown eye?

because its in their genes

Is eye color a inheritance?

eye colour is due to polygenic inheritance. 2 genes specify for the green/blue pigments and 2 or more genes encode for the brown pigment. the brown genes mask the blue/green genes. eye colour is purely genetic as it is not subject to environmental influences. it was originally thought that eye colour was controlled by 2 genes, but since the human genome project , it is now known that many more genes are involved.

How many genes control eye color and fur in a white tiger?

Is eye color an example of a trait?

What happens when genes stop working?

when genes stop working it stops your reproduction process and you cant see your bull eye

What is the best explanation for the many shades in human eye color?

Eye color is a polygenic phenotypic character and is determined by the amount and type of pigments in the eye's iris. The genetics of eye color are complicated, and color is determined by multiple genes. In human eyes, these variations in color are attributed to varying ratios of eumelanin produced by melanocytes in the iris. Eye color is an inherited trait influenced by more than one gene. These genes are being sought using associations to small changes in the genes themselves and in neighboring genes

Is eye color an acquired trait?

Yes. The genes for eye color are inherited from the parents. The genetics of eye color are more complicated than previously thought. Color is determined by multiple genes. The genetics of eye color are so complex, that almost any parent-child combination of eye colors can occur.

Do genes determine a persons eye color by coding for nitrogenous bases that affect eye color?

I'm not sure on the complete mechanism for the formation of eye colour however genes are made of the four nitrogenous bases A, T, G, C. So the simple answer is no they don't as the genes for eye colour don't encode for any bases at all instead they encode proteins which in turn will effect eye colour. Hope this helps :)
