If you are looking for decorative plants, any number of "alpine" plants grow well in rocky soil. Check in your local nursery for what is available in your area as plants tend to grow best in their own zones. You need to check the packaging of the plants or seeds for zone information and check with your local nursery for the zone you live in. I
