A 'leg' officer is a slightly contemptous word used by qualified airborne troops to describe a regular infantry soldier... since they have to leg it everywhere...
thus the skippy's list joke, an appropriate greeting for a leg officer is not, "Airborne leads the wa.. oh sorry sir..."
