There are two possible meanings, both relate to the same practice.
Inbreeding (which results in inbred offspring, is where very closely related parents mate (this can be in the animal and plant worlds).
Extremes of inbreeding can be: brother and sister, father and daughter, mother and son. More common forms of inbreeding occurs between cousins.
Inbreeding in animals normally always results in genetic abnormalities, this may not be very apparent with first generation offspring, but if the practice continues can result in some serious (degenerative) disfigurements or diminished mental capacity.
However:
In plants (as well show animals and livestock) the practice of inbreeding is used extensively to reinforce positive or desirable genetic traits within a breeding line.
For example, a cat breeder may breed her pure bred Persian cat with one of the offspring from a previous litter (from the same cat) in order to reinforce a particular genetic characteristic.
When a pure breed decides to f^ck another pure breed. Lets say pit bulls. You put two pits together and you get another pit...dumb @$$. Gah sometimes you people just get on my nerves. When you ask stupid questions you get stupid answers.
One major example of Inbreeding was the royal European families in the middle ages. There was so little genetic diversity between these royal people. In the cases where inbreeding occurs, certain traits are found that may not be beneficial to the offspring. The same is seen in purebred dogs, where traits that are desirable are bred for. The results can be problems for the pups. Pugs do not look like wolves at all.
Inbreeding is breeding between close relatives, whether plant or animal
EXAMPLE: A dog being breeded with its own family or 'predecessors ', perhaps a female dog being breeded with its father to try and preserve a desired trait, such as long legs and great speed.
Inbreeding can cause some risk such as blindness or joint deformities in animals.
It can, over a long enough period of time. Breeds of dogs, for example, were created by inbreading.
BREEDING
Inbreeding
Inbreeding is a selective breeding method in which 2 individuals with identical or similar sets of alleles are crossed.
Genetically speaking, inbreeding tends to reinforce the negative qualities of the strain as opposed to the positive ones. An example is the Hapsburg family in Spain and Austria who, through inbreeding, developed a jutting lower jaw which in the most extreme cases impaired them when they tried to talk or eat.

Inbreeding
Lack of diversity (inbreeding) exposing genetic weaknesses. A good example would be pedigree dogs.
Inbreeding the Anthropophagi was created in 1998-03.

Their wasn't any inbreeding in Adolf Hitler's Family.
Inbreeding depression is the reduced fitness of a population caused by inbreeding. Inbreeding reduces genetic diversity, meaning populations are less genetically adaptable - and greatly increases the chances of genetic diseases and disorders. Inbreeding is most commonly associated with reduced reproductive and viability traits.
To avoid inbreeding whales breed with members of other pods.
