Photosynthesis happens in two main stages, called the light-dependent stage and the light-independent stage. The light-independent stage is sometimes called the 'dark' stage. The light-dependent stage can only happen in the light. During this stage light is absorbed and turned into chemical energy (ATP). Oxygen is also produced. The light-independent stage can happen in the light or the dark ie it is independent of light! However, it needs substances made in the light-dependent stage so it cannot happen completely by itself. In the light-independent stage the energy trapped as ATP in the light-dependent stage is used to change carbon dioxide into sugar (glucose). There are more details to this process which I have covered in another answer: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_connects_the_light_dependent_reaction_to_the_light_independent_reaction See also: http://www.phschool.com/science/biology_place/biocoach/photosynth/calvin1.html
steps n dark reactions are carbondioxide is fixed into six carbon sugar and so on on
Only occur in the dark.
transpiration in the dark and photosynthesis in sunlight.
The Calvin cycle, or carbon fixation, occurs during the dark reactions of photosynthesis.
The whole process of photosynthesis is not divided into 3, but into 2 steps - light and dark reactions. The dark reactions are also known as the dark phase of photosynthesis and this dark phase is divided into 3 steps.Actually the dark phase is the Calvin cycle which is composed of these 3 major steps: 1. Carbon (or Carbon Dioxide - CO2) fixation 2. Reduction 3. Regeneration (of Ribulose)
Carbon, ATP and NADPH
light face and dark face.Actually it is phase not face. They are light reaction and dark reatcion
dark - dark phase photosynthesis, photosynthesis dark phase
Only occur in the dark.
The dark...
It is not dark photosynthesis. It is dark reaction. It takes place in stroma.
why light reaction of photosynthesis is essential before the dark reaction can procced?
The dark reaction as it pertains to photosynthesis occurs when the plant, in the absence of sunlight, continue to supply energy. The dark side of photosynthesis relies upon the stored starches to fuel the energy cycles.
Plants need photons in order to photosynthesize. There are photons which we cannot see, such as UV rays, but most plant energy comes from light which we can see. Also, remember that different plants absorb different kinds of light.
no,.because they could not perform photosynthesis in the dark
transpiration in the dark and photosynthesis in sunlight.
no not Hitler
i dont no the answer
