Can only be referenced as the opposite of Exobotany. When Will Ryker told Soren that he was interested in Exobotany [As far as I can tell, this is the first recorded use of the word], he could only have meant it as a parallel or form of Astrobotany, or Alien botany. It seems that the only real application would be "The Study of Plant Forms on Other Planets/Moons/Anything with great enough mass to exert enough gravity for any plant life to grow or exist". That is to say, since he was from Alaska, Earth, "The study of any plant form which grows anywhere other than Earth". For Spock, that would be "The study of any plant form which grows anywhere other than Vulcan", etc. Therefore, the only meaning we can take from "Endobotany" would have to be "Plants Which Grow on the Planet One is From", or (at least until April 4th, 2063 or so) "Plants Which Grow on Earth", to all of us. Since this answer will only apply to readers and plant life on Earth, one should drop the Endo- and simply say "Botany". When and if there comes a time when there would be some use for differentiating between the two, we should keep this in mind. Until then, we can just say "Botany".
