Metabolism is the set of all chemical process that take place in the body. The processes allow all life sustaining functions needed in the cells of living organisms.
Metabolism is the broad term that covers all chemical reactions within the cells of the body. It includes processes such as breaking down molecules to obtain energy (catabolism) and building up molecules for growth and repair (anabolism).
The sum of all chemical reactions in a cell is known as metabolism. Metabolism consists of catabolic reactions (breakdown of molecules to release energy) and anabolic reactions (building of molecules using energy). Together, these reactions enable cells to grow, reproduce, maintain their structures, and respond to their environments.
Enzymes speed up chemical reactions in a cell. without enzymes, many chemical reactions that are neccassarry for life would either take to long or not occur at all.
Enzymes are protein molecules that catalyze biochemical reactions in the cell. They speed up reactions by lowering the activation energy required for a reaction to occur, allowing processes to happen more efficiently. Enzymes are specific in their actions and can be regulated to control the cell's chemical reactions.
Chemical reactions drive all of the activities within living cells.

Oxygen is the gas needed by cells in the body for cellular respiration to produce energy. Cells take in oxygen from the bloodstream and use it to generate ATP, the energy currency of the cell, through a series of chemical reactions.
