The term for .the genetic material inside of a virus is Hereditary. Hereditary is a gene passed from a parent. If you are learning about viruses then you may know that they reprodue by using a living cell. They attack it, inject their DNA/RNA and let the cell do the rest. Viruses are concidered 50% living and 50% non living. Im a person that belives that they are not living. You should know that when a virus has injected the DNA/RNA its still alive and it leaves the cell. once it leaves the cell begins to produce thousands of little viruses. They then begin the prosses all over again.

What enters a cell and becomes part of cell's hereditary material without destroying the cell or replicating itself?

A virus can enter a cell and integrate its genetic material into the cell's own DNA without destroying the cell or replicating itself. This integration can lead to long-term effects on the cell's behavior and potentially alter the cell's hereditary material.

What is the difference of PROVIRUS and VIRION?

A provirus is the virus' genetic material integrated with the genetic material of the host cell. Some viruses stay in this form inside a cell until a specific stimulus causes the provirus to start to reproduce and lyse, or burst, the cell. For instance, some prophages (a provirus from a bacteriophage) the process doesn't continue until UV radiation hits the bacterium. A virion is the name of the actual virus particle. The virion is comprised of the capsid and the DNA (or RNA) of the virus. The term virion is used in a similar way that bacterium is when referring to a single bacterial cell. Some virions, such as HIV also have a phospholipid bilayer that they gain by 'budding' from the host cell. When a cell is lysed the provirus gives way to viral progeny, the virions.

A term reffering to the mass of genetic material found in the nucleus?

Chromatin, which is DNA or RNA and the protiens which help structurally support and chemically neutralise the molecule (DNA and RNA are acid).

What term is defined as all the living material inside the cell?

The term defined as all the living material inside the cell is called cytoplasm. It includes the organelles, cytosol, and other components of the cell that are essential for its growth and function.

What trem describes the exchange of genetic material between members of a homologous pair of chromosomes?

Crossing over is the term that describes the exchange of genetic material between members of a homologous pair of chromosomes during meiosis. This process increases genetic diversity by reshuffling alleles between homologous chromosomes.
