Type O negative blood has antibodies against both A and B type blood. This means that you can give blood to any type of blood (A, B, O) but can only receive your exact blood type. Type O negative is one of the most rare types, and is known as the "universal donor".
The universal donor is blood type O. O can be injected into any other blood type because of the way blood works. Basically there are certain types of protein that cover the outsides of the red blood cells that compose blood. If someone has the A protein, he has type A and same with Type B. However, type AB has both types of protein on its "coat." Lastly, O has no protein attached to its cells and can "get along" with any other blood type. Another interesting point is that the blood type AB is considered the universal recipient because it can receive any kind of blood.
There are four types of human blood, grouped into different catogories. Type 'A', 'B', 'AB' and type O. Each letter refers to a kind of protein or antigen, on the surface of the red blood cells. The surface of red blood cells in Type 'A' blood, has antigens known as A-antigens. Type 'B' blood is determined by it's lack of antigens, which are carried to the surface of red blood cells. Type AB blood is considered the universal recipient because people with this type can receive any blood type. Type O blood is considered the "universal donor" because it can be donated to people of any blood type. Antigens: An antigen is a substance that prompts the generation of antibodies and can cause an immune response
If you have blood type a you can donate blood to other people who have type a blood and to people who have type ab blood. People with type a blood are said to have thicker blood than the other blood types.
Himmler's blood type was AB
the beautiful kind !
No. You would have to be a O blood type. That is the "universal" blood donor. The best kind.
Because blood type O doesn't have any kind of Antibodies so it can be given to all types of blood.

Universal donor is Blood Type O because this blood type don't have antigen and it can be donated in the patient having any kind of blood type, while universal recipient is Blood Type AB because it does not have anti- body; Blood Type AB can receive any kind of blood type.
AB can receive any blood type (depending whether you are - or +)
