An analogy of a nucleus is that it is like a brain. It controls the rest of the body and what goes on mostly. Without it, you body would get confused and then you would die. (the cell would die.) This nucleus houses the DNA, like your brain carries special information on how to do things. Just like DNA does. Also, without DNA, you wouldn't be able to live either.
A plasmid performs the same function as a nucleus in a plant cell.
Nucleus is the control unit of cell. It stores genetic materials. Also produce ribosomal units.
What does a nucleus do in the plant cell
Nothing
The Brain, the Nucleus controls the Cells activities and the brain controls human activty, therefore they are similar
Nuclear envelope is the membrane that covers the nucleus in eukaryotes.
The Smooth ER performs a very similar function as the Rough ER. I don't know exactly what either do but if you look up "What performs the same function as Smooth ER?"
You can get this answer by going on a site called mrscienceut.net/CellWebquest.html to help you locate your answer. If this doesn't help sorry
it controls all the activities of a cell
The nucleoid region in prokaryotes does the same job as the nucleus in eukaryotes, but I do not think you mean this. Nothing holds the genetic information in eukaryote except the nucleus and the mitochondria and chloroplasts. So these endosymbiotic organelles could be said to be doing the same job as the nucleus.
The Nucleus
DNA
I believe it performs the same function as a cell.
The Brain, the Nucleus controls the Cells activities and the brain controls human activty, therefore they are similar
Another good name for a cellular nucleus would be "the brain" because it performs cellular functions much like the brain performs for our body. KARYON IS ANOTHER GOOD NAME.
The nucleus is the organelle that contains the DNA. Its job is to control the cell's functions.
It directs the cell's activities. Like the driver in a car.
Your brain. The human brain, like the nucleus, controls everything that goes on in the body (cell).
Nuclear envelope is the membrane that covers the nucleus in eukaryotes.
The nucleus controls the cell's functions.
They have the same number of protons in the nucleus and same number of electrons surrounding the nucleus.
