DNA and RNA play a very important role in cell reproduction.

DNA contains the genetic information including the charecteristics of thr person,

behaviour, IQ , gender etc. It's structure is like a double helix spiral ladder.

During cell reproduction this DNA should get transferred out of the nucleus and into the new fragment of the cell. Since DNA is double helix it cant exit the nucleus. It hence creates a single helix copy of itself in a protein. This is called RNA. RNA exits the nucleus and goes into the other fragment and creates more DNA strands. This is how DNA and RNA help in cellular reproduction.

Enzymes lower the activation energy of the reaction. This means that it makes the reaction occur faster. Enzymes will not change the final energy states on the reactants or products, nor will they sustain an impossible reaction. It is like paving an easier road for communication between two cities. Nothing about the cities and their location changes, but it becomes easier to traverse the terrain with a proper road. Enzymes will catalyze both the forward and reverse reactions. They are subject to enzyme kinetics (relating function to factors such as concentrations and temperature).

Bottom line: Enzymes catalyze (facilitate) the progress of a chemical reaction by providing an easier means for the reaction to occur.

What is the role of vitamins within the cell?

The precise role of vitamins in cellular activities is not really understood. What we do know is that some vitamins work with enzymes to initiate chemical reactions within the cell. For example, Vitamin C is known to play an essential role in the reproduction of bone tissue. On the cellular level, Vitamin C works with certain enzymes to produce new bone cells.

What is a membranebound structure that contains digestive enzymes called?

A membrane-bound structure that contains digestive enzymes is called a lysosome. Lysosomes play a crucial role in breaking down cellular waste and foreign materials, such as bacteria and cellular debris, into simpler molecules that can be recycled or eliminated from the cell.

Can enzymes respire?

Since enzymes, being proteins, do not fit the definition of living organisms, they do not respire. That having been said, enzymes do indeed play a vital role in the process of both aerobic and anaerobic cellular respiration. They are not alive and so do not respire, but respiration could not occur without their help.

Where can I learn more about cellular reproduction?

The science of cellular reproduction revolves around two kinds of division mechanisms - mitosis and meiosis. For any form of life to sustain and evolve, cellular reproduction plays a pivotal role. There are numerous resources that can be leveraged to gain more knowledge on cellular reproduction. These resources may include local pubic libraries in the neighborhood carrying books and articles on cellular reproduction and online resources such as Wikipedia. Cell Biology also called Cytology can be used for narrowing down the scope of learning.
