This tissue is simple squamous, a type of epithelium. It is the thinnest tissue, one cell thick, since gases are exchanged in the aleoli and capillaries surrounding them.
The tissue lining in the alveoli is epithelial tissue. This type of epithelial tissue is very simple and very squamous.
Type I (Squamous Alveolar) cells that form the structure of an alveolar wall
simple cuboidal epithelium
Reticular connective tissue
Protective tissue
Connective Tissue
Connective tissue
a group of specialized cells forms tissue, a group of tissue forms an organ
Normal lung tissue floats because of all the aveoli (tiny air pockets).
Reticular connective tissue
the aveoli in the Lungs
Epithelial tissue
Nervous tissue
Epithelial Tissue
osseous tissue
a group of specialized cells first forms into tissue, and a group of tissue forms into organs.
Protective tissue
how does the exchange of gasses between the aveoli and blood happen
Connective Tissue
no cause aveoli are little air sacks in the lungs. they are not an organ they are in an organ.
