What do you think would happen to the mangrove trees if they did not have the extra roots?

If mangrove trees did not have their extra roots, they would likely have a harder time anchoring themselves in the soft, muddy coastal soils where they typically grow. This would make them more susceptible to being uprooted during storms or high tides, which could affect their growth and survival in their unique coastal ecosystems.

What may happen when trees are cleared in a watershed?

if this happens in a specific area, then the hill will loose all topsoil during rainstorms and there would be mudslides. It would also cause nearly all animals to vacate the area and it would become a fairly barren slope upwards. If this happens world-wide, then humans might die out due to the large amounts of oxygen trees produce and the large amounts of hills around the world.

How can you live without trees?

If all the trees on the planet were to die or be cut down, the human race would die. Plants provide a large percentage of the oxygen on earth through photosynthesis. Without trees and other plants, humans and animals could not survive.Even if humans somehow managed to survive, trees provide us with fruits, nuts, wood and paper. Trees are also home to many animals. If we didn't have trees we would be mising a lot of things we take for granted.

What would you expect to happen to young trees after the mature trees have grown tall and crowded?

Young trees may struggle to receive enough sunlight and nutrients in a crowded environment, leading to stunted growth or even death. They may also face increased competition for resources such as water and space, which can impact their overall health and development. It's important to provide adequate spacing or actively manage the forest to ensure the healthy growth of both young and mature trees.
