When a gas is heated the energy is converted to kinetic energy.

Potential energy is frequently converted to kinetic energy. Kinetic energy?

can be converted to potential energy.

What kind of energy do windmills convert it is kinetic or potential?

The kinetic energy of the wind (moving mass of air) is (usually) converted into electric energy.

How do you convert potential energy into kinetic?

If you fired a bullet vertically upward, it would have kinetic energy at first, when it gets to the top of its travel this would all have been converted to potential energy.

What happens to potential energy that is not converted to kinetic energy?

If potential energy is not converted into kinetic energy (or into any other type of energy) then it remains potential. Potential energy does not expire.

Is potential energy was converted to kinetic energy?

It CAN be converted to kinetic energy, but it won't always do so.

What happen to the potential energy of an object as it falls?

It is tranferred/converted into kinetic energy (DECREASES)

Kinetic energy being converted to chemical potential energy

Can potential energy only be converted to kinetic energy?

by force

As an object falls the gravitational potential energy of the object is converted to what?

Some of its potential energy changes to kinetic energy.

What happens with the energy that is not transferred from one trophic level to the next?

Those energy that are not transferred to ATP loss as heat.

Energy transformation when dropping a yoyo?

Potential - Kinetic - Potiential again as you drop the yo yo, the potential energy it had at its height is converted to kinetic energy. as it starts to come back up, it is converted back to potential energy
