∙ 14y agoCetrioles form the anchorage point for mictotubules. Microtubules are in turn attached to chromosomes. These tubules are also called spindle fibres. They shorten during anaphase of mitosis and bring about the distribution of chromosomes to the daughter cells.

There are two centrioles in each cell, and together with dense matter they create a centrosome. The centrioles are perpendicular to each other. They are important in the organization on the cell.
