Not always, but they do look pretty similar. They certainly do not differ as much as fraternal twins, but everything is not exactly the same. One could be taller than the other. One could be chubbier in stature than the other, too. And, one thing for sure, if not looks, their fingerprints and footprints are ALWAYS different. the only possible ways for two people to be completely the same is to clone a human being, but unfortunately this technology is beyond our reach in tehnology and science.
The pure reason they look alike is because they are produced from a single cell, and during its implantation in the uterus, it miraculously splits into two beings. Because the second being came from the first one, it is only natural that they would have the same characteristics.
Identical twins develop from a single egg that splits into two.Identical twins can be so similar that their parents cannot tell them apart.
No, twins in the same placenta are not genetically identical. While identical twins share the same DNA, they may have slight genetic differences due to mutations that occur after fertilization.
They can be. While identical twins always have to be the same gender, fraternal twins usually are not. However this is not always the case. Identical twins occur because they inhabit the same egg. Fraternal twins because two eggs were fertilized at the same time. So fraternal twins could be the same gender, but usually they are of the opposite gender.
yes they are... simmes twins form from one egg that is in the process of separating into two eggs or identical twins... but the process isn't finished and that is why they are "stuck together"
Identical twins can share the same placenta during pregnancy, but it is not always the case. In some instances, identical twins may have separate placentas.
Yes. Fraternal twins don't look alike at all. Identical, meaning to look the same, are well, identical.
I dont think there is such a thing as paternal twins...perhaps you are thinking of fraternal twins. In that case, they are not identical twins, they do not look the same and they can be different sexes.
Because the mother identical twins each have a different husband . . . half of his characteristics show up in their babies.
identical twins are from the same egg cell that split, but ferternal twins are from 2 entirely different fertilized egg cells. Thus identical look the same and ferternal can look entirely different.
Fraternal twins are two siblings that have the same birth day, but do not look identical.
The DNA of identical twins and of clones is, apart from random, environmentally produced mutations, 100% identical. The only difference is that clones are produced on purpose through advanced bioengineering techniques while identical twins happen as an accident of nature. Identical twins are, in a sense, natural clones.
yes they are Identical twins
Fraternal (instead of identical)
Twins are identical because they come from the same egg.
Identical twins are born together, and look exactly alike.Nonidentical twins are born together, but do not look exactly alike.A good example of non identical would be boy and girl twins,

Eye colour is caused by genetics whereas the weight of a person depends on how they life their life (how healthily they eat or how much exercise they do) so it is an environmental variation. Identical twins have the same genes so have the same eye colour.
