because its being viewed by a different angle. nothing looks the same a different angles but something highly symmetric. in this case a cell is definitely not symmetric

What happen during metaphase stage of mitosis?

In metaphase, the chromosomes line up in the center of the cell (aka the metaphase plate or equatorial plate) and then the spindle fibers attach to the centromeres. Centromeres: the center of the two conjoined chromosome pairs where they will break into two halves in the next phase Picture of metaphase on Wikipedia: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/07/Metaphase.svg/800px-Metaphase.svg.png

What happens during mitosis?

The chromosomes condense and turn into 2-strand chromatids; the nuclear membrane disappears; centrosomes turn to asters and a spindle fiber begins to form. Metaphase: The chromosomes align at the center of the cell (equatorial plate) and each chromosome is attached to the spindle fiber Anaphase: The chromatids (1 strand) separate and the centromere divides, where each single strand chromatid ascends to opposite poles of the cell (polar ascension) Telophase: The cellular membrane cleaves and the nuclear membrane appears again and the asters turn into centromeres once again We end up with 2 daughter cells each maintaining the same number of chromosomes that the mother cell has (2n) because mitosis is and equational division which preserves the genetic information.... Hope this helps...

What is the result of meiosis?

Meiosis happens in the reproductive cells. After the first division you get 2 cells with 46 chromosomes, after the second division, you get 4 cells with 23 chromosomes. In humans at least. These cells will become the sperm cells in males. In females, only one cell of 23 chromosomes becomes an egg, the other 3 are called polar bodies and are reabsorbed into the body basically.

Is the cell in prophase II an haploid cell?

Monkeys have both diploid and haploid cells. Organisms produce these 2 general cell types. There are several differences between diploid and haploid cells. Diploid means it contains 2 complete sets of chromosome (2n). Haploid means the cell contains 1 st of chromosomes (n). Diploid cells are the result of mitosis while haploid cells is the product of meiosis. Every species has a different number of chromosomes.

How do the daughter cells after meiosis compare to the parent cell?

1. primary spermatocyte (dipolotid (46)) ------1st meiotic division------ produce: 2 secondary spermatocytes (haploid (23)) ------2nd meiotic division-------- Producing four spermatids (haploid (23)) so the difference is that in the begnning u have a dipoloid cell with 46 chromosomes, and in the end u wil have a haploid cell with 23 chromosomes that in the case are ready to meet the egg, and produce a zygote (diplotid, with 46 chromosomes) that wil develop to be a child.

How many chromosomes are in a black bear?

The Polar Bear has 74 Chromosomes.

Is Polar bear semen fertile in human reproductive organs?

No, they have a different amount of chromosomes than we do.

How many polar bodies are produced during spermatogenenis?

both polar bodies have the same amount of chromosomes. which would be just diploid so 23, because its a gamete and therefore is half the normal amount. so yeah, 23 chromosomes in the first polar body.

What happens to the remaining chromosomes from the last division in meiosis?

In meiosis all the chromosomes are incorporated into sperm cells whereas production of an unfertilized egg results in the leftover chromosomes incorporated into polar bodies.

How do you predict if the substance is polar slightly polar or non-polar by looking at its structure?

If all sides are the same its non-polar, but if they are different then the substance is polar.

How many chromosomes does the zygote have Following fertilization?

Sperm contains 23 chromosomes. An egg contains 23 chromosomes. The zygote (a fertilized egg) contains 46 chromosomes. Yet, it is also important to consider that the egg completes meiosis before joining with the sperm, thereby shedding half of its 46 chromosomes into a polar body that adjoins the zona pelucida lining.

Are the Sn-Cl bond polar or non polar in SnCl4?

They're polar, because they have different electronegativity values, so each atom attracts the electons with different "strenght".

How many polar bears in a polar bear family?

there are no different sorts of polar bears, like there are different sorts of cats. There are only the stages of life a polar bear goes through, from cub to adult.

What is true about a molecule which contains two polar bonds which have the different degrees of polarity will it always be polar or never be polar or only be polar if it is bent?

Polar if it is bent.

What are the differences between polar bears and lions?

Cats and bears are very different. A polar bear and a cheetah are different colors and different sizes. A cheetah runs much faster than a polar bear.

How is a seal different from a polar bear?

a seal is different from a polar bear because a seal has flippers and blubber a polar bear has 4 legs and has fur and a polar bear eats the seal but the seal doesn't eat the polar bear so the seal is prey to the polar bear k
