It is the process of breaking down polymers like protein, Carbohydrate, Lipids, by adding water molecule. It is the opposite of dehydration synthesis. Hydrolysis is important for plants and animals in order for them to sustain life. This process helps to make energy for metabolism and storage. For example, in our digestive system, this process occured. It help break down polysaccharide and change it into simpler sugar that provide us immediate energy for our daily life. Hope this help^_^

Hydrolysis occurs when water breaks down a bond to form two monomers. We need hydrolysis to function because we need to reuse the monomers that we put into macromolecules once these macromolecules become inefficient. One example would be sucrose. Sucrose is made from two glucose molecules. We use hydrolysis to break down sucrose into those two glucose molecules so that they can be used to make galactose, fructose, etc.

Which organ in the body produce the largest quantity of enzymes in human body?

The pancreas produces the largest quantity of enzymes in the human body. It secretes enzymes that are important for digestion, such as amylase, lipase, and proteases, into the small intestine. These enzymes help break down carbohydrates, fats, and proteins, respectively.
