Lung cancer or any cancer for that matter takes place at the bodies cellular level. This involves your DNA and RNA. On an even deeper level it is amino acids that make up the different protiens that builds your DNA. The amino acids make the proteins that become our cells and at a predetermined time the cells shuts off. The order and number of the proteins determine the type of cell it is and it's job. Cancer cells are caused when this process gets screwed up and the proteins are alligned incorrectly. Instead of shutting off it goes into overdrive.

Lung cancer is less common among non-smokers compared to smokers, but it can still occur. About 10-15 of lung cancer cases are diagnosed in non-smokers. Factors such as exposure to secondhand smoke, environmental pollutants, and genetic predisposition can increase the risk of developing lung cancer in non-smokers.
No, Kaposi sarcoma is not a form of lung cancer. It is a type of cancer that arises from the endothelial cells, which line blood vessels and lymphatic vessels. Kaposi sarcoma is often associated with HIV/AIDS and is characterized by the development of tumors on the skin or in mucous membranes, but it can also affect internal organs. Lung involvement can occur, but it is not classified as lung cancer specifically.
