DNA replication is necessary because DNA is the code that makes our skin look like skin and not like carrots. If our DNA doesn't replicate itself right, you could get sick with cancer and other bad stuff, so it's a good thing that our cells are pretty good at doubling themselves!

Each cell nucleus contains one copy of the organisms DNA. Thus if one cell is going to divide into two, a copy of the DNA must be made so that each cell ends up with a copy of the DNA.

Does DNA replication occur before the cell divides?

the DNA poly-meres must add complementary nucleotides to the DNA

Why DNA have to replicated before cell division?

DNA replication must occur before cell division to make sure that the daughter cells are genetically identical.

Why is interphase necessary before mitosis can successfully take place?

During interphase, the DNA is replicated, which ensures that there will be one copy in each daughter cell after the cell division.

When will DNA be replicated?

:Before the cell divition cell needs to double its genetic meterial then the DNA is replicated.;

Cell division occurs twice in?

DNA is replicated during interphase

Which term describes two recently replicated DNA strands that are joined together just before cell division?

The term that describes two recently replicated DNA strands that are joined together just before cell division is "sister chromatids." Each sister chromatid is an identical copy of the original DNA molecule and is held together at a region called the centromere. During cell division, the sister chromatids separate and are distributed to the daughter cells.

What is the name of division in eukaryote cells?

Cell division in eukaryotic cells involves mitosis, which is the division of the replicated chromosomes into two identical sets, and cytokinesis, which is the division of the cytoplasm.

What is the separation of daughter cells is called?

If you are referring to cell division, this is most commonly mitosis, in which the cell replicates its organelles, and then divides. However, there is also meiosis, in which the organelles are not replicated before division, thus resulting in a gamete or sex cell (eggs/sperm).

The non-dividing cell is in what when the chromosomes are not distinct and the genetic material is replicated in preparation for division?

i think Interphase.

Why is it important for a cell to have two copies of DNA before it enters the division phase mitosis?

It is important for a cell to have two copies of DNA before it enters the division phase of mitosis because each new cell will require a copy of the DNA. The copies are shared between the divided cells.

Why is it important that DNA is duplicated before cell division?

It is essential that the DNA is duplicated before cell division, because without it, the new cell would not be able to function, nor duplicate again. The copy of DNA is placed in the new cell essential for survival.

Why is cell division important for a baby?

Cell Division is important for a baby because the child needs to grow and develop.
