Why would your butt hurt when you sit down?

Could be almost anything. You can't diagnose illness over the internet, despite what everybody thinks. You might have broken your tailbone. You might have a hemorrhoid. You might have a yeast infection. See a doctor if it doesn't clear up in a few days.

Because, like everywhere else in your body, your butt has veins and capillaries, and when you sit on it for a while, circulation slowly stops, and then you go numb.

Well, as awkward as that question is, I know the answer. it's because you put all your weight on your butt when you sit, because gravity is still pulling you down

when you sit on a chair or a hard surface, gravity pushes down on you, thus pushing your butt on the chair, and adding pressure.
