Ducks are somewhat unusual in that their body fat is not in "globs" like for example chickens, but have their fat distributed throughout their muscle [meat]. Although I cannot recall the percentage of a ducks bodyweight which is fat, it is very high, making duck a very highfat food, even though it does not visually appear so.
