Can geese be domesticated

Of course, even wild adult Canada geese will become domesticated if fed and given the right environment to over winter. They get used to human interaction very quickly as can be seen in many zoo's around North America. They are not captured, they arrive on their own, wander the various habitat exhibits and choose to stay.

Yes, they do. Often a domestic goose will fly away or "escape" from a farm and find other geese to spend time wiith in a pond nearby. They become close with a wild goose and, vola! goslings that are half domestic/half wild are produced. Sometimes the results are quite beautiful.

Same is true for domestic and wild ducks too.

Yes, if you have the right yard and accepting neighbors. We had one when I was growing up. It had belonged to someone who had to move. My father, an avid animal lover, took it in. The goose's name was Abigail, - named before they found out he was a male. Perhaps because of something in his past, he definitely preferred men. There was a little old lady in the neighborhood, who he would frequently chased down the road nipping at her butt. Not very nice! One Easter we got baby duckling. Abigail accepted them as her own and the babies followed her everywhere. That was nice. She developed a tumor on her wing and the vet amputated part of the wing. She adapted very well and lived on long after it. I guess I would have rather had a puppy, but the goose was interesting.
