It is unusual for birds to kill humans, but it is possible; some predatory birds such as hawks, owls, and eagles, have powerful, sharp claws and beaks which are used to kill and dismember their prey (usually other birds, or small animals) and which could certainly do serious damage to a person. A completist would add that it is also possible for a bird to kill a person by tranmitting a disease such as bird flu.

The Cassowary in Northern Queensland (Australia) and Papua New Guinea can kill people with it's middle claw which is 12cm long. The 2m bird can jump a metre in the air slicing your throat, gut or groin. They only attack if they feel threatened.
